Fungi-Nail Pen Applicator Anti-Fungal Solution, 1.7 mL
Description
The pen-applicator version of Fungi-Nail, 1.7 mL. Same active ingredient — undecylenic acid — in a precision applicator rather than a brush-and-bottle. Built for targeted application to small areas, particularly the skin bordering the nails.
Pen versus bottle
The pen applies a controlled amount exactly where you aim it, which is useful for the narrow skin margin around a toenail or between toes. It's also more practical to carry and less likely to leak in a bag. The trade-off is volume: at 1.7 mL this is a small quantity, so if you're treating a broader area such as the sole of the foot, the 30 mL brush-applicator bottle is better value.
What undecylenic acid treats
It works on fungal infections of the skin — athlete's foot, ringworm, and the skin around the nails. It is not an effective cure for fungus growing inside the nail plate itself, whatever the product name suggests. Topical solutions don't reliably penetrate the nail, which is why genuine onychomycosis usually needs a prescription lacquer or oral antifungal, often for months.
Thickened, discoloured, crumbling or lifting nails should be assessed by a doctor, pharmacist or foot care specialist.
Application
Wash and dry the area completely before applying — leftover moisture works against you. Apply as directed on the package, keeping to the affected skin. Continue the full course stated on the label even once symptoms settle; stopping at the first improvement is the usual reason these infections return. Wash your hands afterwards, and don't share the applicator.
Important
- If you have diabetes, circulation problems or a weakened immune system, have any foot infection looked at professionally before treating it yourself.
- External use only — keep away from eyes, mouth and broken skin
- Discontinue if irritation occurs, or if nothing has improved within the period stated on the package
- Spreading redness, swelling, pus, warmth or worsening pain warrant prompt medical attention — those point to bacterial infection rather than fungal
