NFH B5 SAP 60 Capsules, 60 Capsules
Description
The name says B5, but this is really a B-complex built around one: 250 mg of pantothenic acid per capsule, with the rest of the B family alongside it. If you've been taking a general B-complex and want something weighted more heavily toward B5, this is that formula.
What's inside
Each capsule carries 250 mg of vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), plus B1, B2, B3, B6, folate, B12 and biotin. Two of those are supplied in their active coenzyme forms — riboflavin-5-phosphate for B2 and pyridoxal-5-phosphate for B6 — which skip the conversion step the body would otherwise have to perform.
What B5 actually does
Pantothenic acid is the raw material for coenzyme A, a molecule that sits at the centre of how the body turns food into usable energy and builds fatty acids. Because coenzyme A is involved in so many pathways, B5 turns up in most conversations about energy metabolism. B vitamins as a group are water-soluble, so the body doesn't stockpile them — regular intake is how levels stay steady.
A good fit if you're
- Already taking a B-complex but want a higher B5 content specifically
- Looking for active-form B2 and B6 rather than the standard versions
- Following a practitioner's protocol that calls for high-potency pantothenic acid
- Managing dietary sensitivities — see the exclusions below
