Muro 128 – Sodium Chloride 5%

Muro 128 – Sodium Chloride 5% Ophthalmic Solution is a hypertonic saline eye drop used for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with corneal edema, such as blurred vision and eye discomfort. It draws excess fluid out of the cornea and is typically used during the day, often together with Muro 128 5% ophthalmic ointment at night, as recommended by your eye-care professional.

Directions:

• Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 3 or 4 hours, or as directed by a physician.
• Follow all directions on the product package. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Active Ingredient:

• Sodium chloride 5% - Hypertonicity agent
• Inactive ingredients:
  • Boric acid, hypromellose, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium borate.
  • Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide may be added to adjust pH.
  • Preservatives added: methylparaben 0.023%, propylparaben 0.01%.

Precautions:

• Do not use, except under the advice and supervision of a doctor.
• If the solution changes colour or becomes cloudy.

Caution:

• It may cause temporary burning and irritation.
• Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface to avoid contamination.
• Replace the cap after use.

Stop Use and Ask a Doctor If:

• Condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours.
• You experience eye pain, changes in vision, or continued redness or irritation of the eye.
• Keep out of the reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
