NFH Heme Iron SAP, 60 Capsules

NFH Heme Iron SAP delivers 11 mg of heme iron polypeptide per capsule — the same form of iron found naturally in meat, rather than the elemental iron salts found in most standard iron supplements. This is the larger 60-capsule size.

Why heme iron absorbs differently

Heme iron is absorbed through a dedicated intestinal pathway separate from non-heme iron, so it isn't blocked by the phytates and polyphenols in food the way plain iron salts are. This generally means better absorption and notably gentler digestion — each capsule also includes vitamin C, active folate, and B12 to round out red blood cell support.

Often chosen by

• Anyone continuing longer-term iron support after starting with a smaller bottle
• People with confirmed low iron or ferritin looking for a gentler option
• Those wanting supporting nutrients — vitamin C, folate, B12 — included in one formula

Format and exclusions

60 vegetable capsules per bottle — the larger size for a longer course. Non-GMO, and made without gluten, dairy, soy, wheat, or artificial preservatives.

Before you start

Get your iron levels tested first. Iron is one of the few nutrients where too much causes real harm — the body has no efficient way to excrete excess iron, so it accumulates. Ask your doctor for a ferritin test and CBC before starting. Keep well out of reach of children: iron products are a leading cause of accidental poisoning in young children. Store cool and dry, away from direct sunlight.
