NFH Iron SAP, 30 Capsules

NFH Iron SAP delivers 30 mg of elemental iron in the bisglycinate form — a chelated iron bound to the amino acid glycine, which is generally better tolerated than the conventional iron salts responsible for most iron-related digestive complaints.

Why bisglycinate over standard iron

Chelation to glycine improves absorption and reduces interference from dietary compounds like phytates that otherwise block iron uptake. It's also gentler on the digestive tract, which in practice means people are more likely to stay on it long enough to actually rebuild their iron stores. Each capsule also includes active B vitamins — B1, B6, B12, riboflavin, B3 — and methylfolate to support red blood cell formation and energy metabolism.

Before you start

Get your iron levels tested first. Iron is one of the few nutrients where too much causes real harm — the body has no efficient way to excrete excess iron, so it accumulates. Ask your doctor for a ferritin test and CBC before starting. Keep well out of reach of children: iron products are a leading cause of accidental poisoning in young children.
