SYSTANE Ointment, Lubricating Eye Ointment For Dry Eyes

SYSTANE Lubricating Eye Ointment is a preservative-free ointment for severe dry eyes. It is especially useful at night, when the eyes can dry out during sleep and feel gritty in the morning. The thick formula forms a long-lasting protective layer over the eye's surface.

Medicinal ingredients

• White petrolatum
• Mineral oil

See the package for the exact strengths.

How to use

• Remove contact lenses first.
• Pull down the lower lid and apply a small ribbon of ointment (about 1 cm) inside it, as directed on the package.
• It is best used at bedtime, because it blurs vision temporarily.
• Throw the tube away 30 days after opening, or as the package directs.

Good to know

• Don't touch the tip to your eye or any surface, and replace the cap after use.
• Don't use it if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients.
• See an eye care professional if you have pain, vision changes or worsening redness.
