Senokot Tablets give overnight relief from occasional constipation using senna, a plant-based stimulant laxative. Taken at bedtime, they usually produce a bowel movement within 6 to 12 hours, by the next morning.

How to use

Take with a glass of water, usually at bedtime, following the package dose for your age. Start with the lowest dose.

Good to know

  • For short-term use. Don't use laxatives for more than a week unless a health professional advises it.
  • Do not use it if you have abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting, rectal bleeding, or a sudden change in bowel habits lasting more than 2 weeks. See a doctor instead.
  • Mild cramping can occur.
  • Ask a health professional before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or before giving it to a child.
  • For lasting regularity, increase fibre, fluids and activity.
