Home Screening with Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Test Kit

Take control of home screening with a rapid COVID-19 antigen test kit designed for repeated use across the household. This diagnostic device helps patients check for active infection from a nasal swab sample in a simple and private setting. The 10-test pack is a practical choice for families, caregivers, workplaces, and anyone who wants dependable access to frequent testing during exposure periods, travel planning, or seasonal respiratory illness.

Ingredients

This testing device contains the components needed to collect a sample, prepare it with the testing solution, and read the result on a lateral flow cassette. Every item inside the box is designed for single-use hygiene and diagnostic clarity. The materials work together to identify viral antigen from a nasal specimen.

Active Ingredients

  • SARS-CoV-2 antigen test cassette
  • Extraction buffer solution
  • Sterile nasal swab
  • Sample processing tube with dispensing tip

Inactive Ingredients

  • Plastic cassette housing
  • Foil pouch
  • Protective tube materials
  • Paper instructions
  • Outer carton packaging

How to Use

Start by washing or sanitizing your hands. Place the testing materials on a clean and dry surface. Open one test unit only when you are ready to begin. Read the instructions before use to avoid handling errors.

Insert the sterile swab into the nostril as directed in the test instructions. Rotate it gently to collect the sample, then repeat in the other nostril if required. Place the swab into the extraction buffer tube and mix the sample thoroughly. Squeeze or stir as instructed so the specimen blends well with the solution. Remove the swab properly and attach the dispensing cap.

Add the recommended number of drops into the sample well on the cassette. Lay the cassette flat and wait for the full development time. Read the result only within the instructed window. A control line confirms that the test ran properly. If the control line appears with a test line, the result is positive. If only the control line appears, the result is negative. If the control line does not appear, the result is invalid and the test should be repeated with a fresh unit.

Dosage

This is a self-testing diagnostic device, not an oral medicine. The correct usage amount is one complete test per screening session.

Follow these testing instructions:

  • Use one swab, one buffer setup, and one cassette for each person.
  • Do not reuse any component after testing.
  • Do not share a single test unit between patients.
  • Repeat the test when symptoms continue or when recent exposure increases the chance of a false negative early result.
  • Use another test on a later day if the first result is negative but suspicion remains high.

The 10-test pack is ideal for repeat screening. It supports serial testing during family exposure, school return, workplace checks, or ongoing symptom monitoring.

Precautions

Correct technique matters. A home antigen test works best when the sample is collected carefully and the instructions are followed exactly. Always inspect the box before use. Do not use expired, broken, wet, or previously opened components. Keep all items stored under the package conditions and away from direct heat, moisture, and children.

Important precautions include:

  • Check the expiry date before each use.
  • Use only the parts included in the same box.
  • Avoid touching the absorbent swab tip.
  • Do not spill extra drops into the test cassette.
  • Do not interpret the result too early or too late.
  • Dispose of used materials safely after each test.
  • Do not use the kit as the only basis for emergency medical decisions.

A negative result does not fully exclude COVID-19. Low viral load, poor sample technique, or testing very early after exposure can affect the outcome. Patients with fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, breathing trouble, or strong exposure history should continue precautions and seek medical advice when needed. A positive result should be treated as significant and followed by isolation and local health guidance.

Side Effects

This testing device does not cause medicine-related side effects because it is not swallowed, injected, or applied as treatment. Still, the nasal swab can cause short-lived local discomfort during sample collection.

Possible temporary effects include:

  • Mild nasal irritation
  • Sneezing
  • Watery eyes
  • Brief stinging sensation
  • Minor discomfort in the nostril

These effects usually settle quickly. Stop testing and seek advice if heavy bleeding, strong pain, or unusual irritation occurs.
