Bioclinic Melatonin 5 mg Time Release, 60 Tablets

Falling asleep is only half the battle; staying asleep is the other half. Bioclinic's time-release tablet lets 5 mg of melatonin out gradually through the night, following your body's natural rhythm so you're less likely to wake in the early hours. It's also handy for jet lag and irregular schedules.

Formula

• Melatonin: 5 mg per tablet
• Non-medicinal: microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose (the slow-release matrix), magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide

How to take

• Adults 18+: 1 tablet 30–60 minutes before bed
• Swallow whole with water. Crushing or chewing destroys the time-release effect
• For jet lag, take at bedtime at your destination for a few nights
• Keep the same bedtime, dim the screens, and give it a few nights to settle your cycle

Precautions

• Talk to your provider first if you take sedatives, antidepressants or blood pressure medicine, have an autoimmune condition or a serious sleep disorder, or are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Avoid alcohol, and don't drive or run machinery after taking it
• Possible effects: morning grogginess, headache, dizziness, nausea, changes in sleep pattern
• Keep out of reach of children
