Benylin Extra Strength Nighttime Cold & Flu Syrup, 270 mL

When a cold or flu keeps you up, Benylin Extra Strength Nighttime treats the main symptoms in one dose so you can rest: cough, stuffy nose, chest mucus, fever and aches, and runny nose and sneezing.

Active ingredients (per 15 mL)

• Acetaminophen 500 mg: pain and fever
• Dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg: cough suppressant
• Pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg: nasal decongestant
• Guaifenesin 100 mg: loosens chest mucus
• Chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg: antihistamine for runny nose and sneezing (causes drowsiness)

Each 30 mL dose contains twice these amounts, including 1,000 mg of acetaminophen.

Also contains alcohol, flavours, menthol, sweeteners, dyes and other non-medicinal ingredients listed on the package.

Dosing (adults and children 12+)

• Shake well. Take 30 mL (2 tablespoons) every 6 hours as needed, measured with a proper dosing cup
• No more than 120 mL in 24 hours
• Not for children under 12

Important safety

• Contains acetaminophen. Do not take with any other product containing acetaminophen or similar cough and cold ingredients
• Do not use with an MAO inhibitor or within 2 weeks of stopping one
• Ask a doctor first if you have high blood pressure, heart, thyroid, liver or kidney disease, diabetes, glaucoma, breathing problems, or trouble urinating from an enlarged prostate; if you are older; or if pregnant or breastfeeding
• Avoid alcohol; don't drive until you know how it affects you
• Possible effects: drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness, upset stomach, dry mouth
• Stop and see a doctor for rash, skin redness or blisters, or if fever lasts beyond 3 days, symptoms beyond 5 days, sore throat beyond 2 days, or you cough up thick yellow-green phlegm
• In an overdose, call poison control or a doctor right away, even without symptoms
