Giving it safely
- Have your child chew the tablet fully; don't let them swallow it whole
- Give with food or milk if their stomach is sensitive, and supervise every dose
- Do not combine with other ibuprofen products
- Do not use if your child is allergic to ibuprofen or other NSAIDs
- Talk to a doctor first if your child has asthma, is dehydrated, has kidney disease, past stomach ulcers, a bleeding disorder or a chronic condition
- If fever or pain lasts longer than expected, see a health professional rather than giving more
Upset stomach, nausea, mild heartburn, dizziness or headache can occur. Stop and get medical help for signs of an allergic reaction, stomach bleeding or changes in urination.
